The 2016 P.H.O.T. Elk Hunt took place this November on beautiful Antone Ranch - a 37,000-acre, privately-owned sportsman’s paradise, between Mitchell and John Day, in Eastern Oregon. This was our second year on Antone Ranch, and once again, we had another hugely successful outdoor adventure. We would like to thank our generous and patriotic host, Jim Bisenius  and his great staff on Antone Ranch for their selfless provision of work and resources. 

The days at Antone Ranch were jam packed with activity, and always started before the sun came up.  Cow and bull elk were harvested, there was fly fishing, chucker hunting, shooting sports, exploring, and tremendous fellowship. As usual, the food and lodging on Antone Ranch was of five-star quality. We would also like to thank our hunting guide, Brandon Davis for helping to create more great hunting experiences afield.

Here's a testimony from one of our SOF Brothers about his experience on Antone:

“This was an absolutely amazing time, and I can’t thank Mr. Bisenius and his staff enough for their generosity and the respect shown to us. There are such amazing stories of valor, and it’s a privilege to share those.  But, at times, the stories that often get the attention can be negative, in regards to our service and our various missions and purpose.  Then, we get to meet and spend time with salt-of-the-earth people like these folks, who truly appreciate us, and it completely fills our cups.”

And this is what our great host, Jim Bisenius had to say about his military guests:

“I’ve been so incredibly blessed in my life, and it’s incredibly rewarding to have the ability to bless some of the most deserving among us. These guys just need to understand how much we appreciate them, and if I can use my ranch to create an escape from their daily pressures, and give them life-long memories, then I wanted to seize the opportunity.  Ironically, me and my staff, and several good friends, got as much out of it as these men.  This was an absolute honor.”
